Dreamweaver
is a great Web authoring tool, superb FTP (File Transfer Protocol) client, and file management system. It uses
a page layout structure that is second to none. It has a friendly user interface, and the best part is that you'll learn
about HTML (the building blocks of the Web) as you go along! If you like the simplicity of this site, you'll be happy
to know that is was created with Dreamweaver.
One of the best things I like about Dreamweaver, is it's built-in FTP client. To publish your web pages, you
need a program to put these files up on the server, called an FTP client. Dreamweaver's, is very easy to use.
I use it all the time, to put up pix and media files. Sometimes, I don't know where the path is to a certain file on-line
so I open up Dreamweaver, bring up the Site Files Window, click the "Connect" button in the client, and the program
will show me where that file is on the server. I use this all the time, and it's a real time-saver!
Dreamweaver uses a GUI (Graphical User Interface) that is easy to use, and makes it simple to get started. Also,
you can take your code from an existing page, dump it into Dreamweaver's Code Window, then hit the "Design"
button and the program will show you how your page is laid out. With the Property Inspector and HTML Tag Selector
you can make your changes in no time! Yes, Dreamweaver makes it very easy to edit your web pages. I love it!
Flash
is a multimedia program used to create animation, using vector graphics and images. People create advertisement
banners in Flash, Websites in Flash, and video. With the release of Flash 8, it was now possible to import video
into Flash, and You Tube was born!
Photoshop
is a photo editing and graphics program. People create designs in Photoshop, and use them to create sites using
XHTML and Cascading Style Sheets.(CSS) There are many other things you can do with the program, such as
creating Web photo galleries and slide shows, and other fun stuff! It also has excellent photo editing capabilities, like
Auto Contrast filters, Auto-Level filters and Color Correction, just to name a few. One day, I took some pics and it was
overcast that day. Well, I ran an Auto-Contrast filter on them in Ps, and they came out looking like they were taken on
a sunny day!
